Creating a Restore PointH

Having a problem trying to set System restore to a esrlier date and am unfamiliar with an alternate process. Can i create a restore point put a earlier date in and create that time. it won't let me change the date on the normal System restoe. It only has the current date in bold. thanks. Really having a problem the last few days and want to go back 10 days ago to where it worker good.:think2:

  1. [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Quit all running apps[/FONT]
  2. [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Go to Start... All Programs... Accessories... System Tools... System Restore[/FONT]
  3. [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]At Welcome Screen, click CREATE A RESTORE POINT... click Next[/FONT]
  4. [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Name the Restore Point.[/FONT]
    • [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Ex: Before I installed PageMaker[/FONT]
    • [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The date and time will automatically appear in the Restore Point so you don't have to include these in the name.[/FONT]
  5. [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Click Create.[/FONT]

Restore Point

:think2:Appreciate the info. Did as you said and it seems to be working now. Won't know for a while ,however i was about ready to go get a new notebook.

If the computer does not let you create a restore point or go back to a restore point this could be a sign that you have a virus that has blocked this function.....
